While we were at the pool today Parker and I were playing with a little beachball. The ball however kept blowing away from us and Parker had to keep getting out of the pool to go fetch it. After the 10th time or so of having to get it, he put the ball on a beach chair and said to it, "You stay right there beachball! You have timeout for 2 minutes." Just as I start to laugh the wind blows the ball off of the chair. Parker runs after it and starts telling it very sternly. "You don't wisten. I set timer for 2 minutes and you sit!" He placed the ball in the chair and just looked at itvery seriously. By this time i was laughing hysterically at him. I asked him why the ball was in the chair and he said "It not wisten mommy." I then had the chance to explain to him about how sometimes Mommy and Daddy have to say things 2 or 3 times when Parker doesn't listen. I said it makes us frustrated and sad but we still love him. I asked him if he understood and he said, "Yeah sure." He then picked up the beachball and said "Sorry beachball." and gave it a kiss.

just wondering...
Yesterday morning as I nursed Lillie, Parker came over and sat next to us. He normally doesn't pay much attention when I feed her but for some reason this time he got real close to her and I thought he was going to kiss her. Instead he looked up at me and asked real seriously, "Lillie drinking chocolate milk?" I was suprised and very humored by the question!
