Buggy outside

Tonite I was watching Parker and Trev out the window and I saw Trev bend down and scoop something (presumably a bug) up and then put it gently in the grass. While I was putting Parker to bed I asked him what Dad had and he said, "a bug." I asked him if the bug had a name and he thought for a few seconds and said "Yeah, a little bit tricky mom." So I started thinking of bugs that he might have a hard time saying and he kept saying no." When Trev came in I asked him and he said, "Oh, that was a Praying Mantis." Parker shook his said, "Oh Mom, it's a Playing Man Bug."

Parker-isms II

Parker pretty much can say whatever he wants these days but he has some key phrases that get us laughing everytime:

"Are you happy Mom/Dad?" Whenever we look tired or if Parker was asked not to do something he always asks us this afterward to make sure we are still happy with him.

"Lillie go to bed now?" 99% of the time Parker is a great big brother and loves to play with Lillie. If she has been awake awhile though and is yearning for some undivided attention he will ask me to put her down so he can get me to himself.

"A wittle bit twicky". Whenever he can't say a big word or get something open this is what he says.

manners count

Lately Parker has had some of the funniest conversations. I am thinking my blogging is going to become more conversation than story. Yesterday morning for example...

Me: "Parker hurry up. We're going to be late to church."
Parker: "Ok.I coming Mom."
Parker: Bumps into chair and keeps running "Scuse me chair. I'm in hurry to church."
