Every morning when Parker wakes up I bring him back to bed with me for a few minutes. During this time I ususally review what we have going on that day and where we will be going. Afterward we get out of bed, make Trev his lunch, bagel and coffee and then start our day.
Well, lately every morning when we lay in bed Parker says to me, "Dad, cough, gag gag, cough sounds." At first I was really confused and asked him if Dad was choking or coughing and he said "No!" Then he would do this big coughing, gagging choking thing and say "Dad." I left it at that and kind of forgot about it until... we were in the mall a few weeks ago and we passed a guy and Parker started up with his gagging and coughing sounds and said "Dad". I look over at the guy who was bald and about 60. He was just walking through the mall drinking a cup of coffee. He sure didn't look like Trev and there wasn't anything about him that reminded me of Trev. Then Parker starts pointing to his cup and making the sounds again. It hit me! The coughing and gagging sounds were "COUGHING" and Dad drinks "COFFEE"!!!!!!! Ohhhhhhhhhhh i gotcha now I tell Parker and he starts clapping and giggling happy that his mom is not a dummy and FINALLY figured out what he was saying.
2 year old are soo literal!

I'm so glad you're posting on here. I love reading about all the funny things Parker is doing and all the things you're learning together. This time in our lives is so short and we need to cherish it and share as much as we can! I'm so thankful for your friendship and the common bonds we share through our kids now. We're both so blessed with wonderful families and I thank God that I can share all the joys and struggles with you!
