This afternoon I asked Parker to write out a list with a few items that I needed to pick up from the store. One of these items was "door locks" (the kind that you put on the bathroom door handle to prevent kids like Lillie from getting into your makeup, nailpolish, and toothpaste).
Once we were thru with our shopping and on our way to checkout, I asked Parker to read off our list to make sure we had everything. As he was reading thru he says, "Oh mom you forgot "Dora socks". I repeated "Dora socks? I don't think that was on my list." To which he replied, "Yes it is mom. Right here "Dora Socks". So, I leaned over and looked and right there in Parker's handwriting was "Dora Socks." I told him I didn't need Dora socks to which he said in an exasperated tone, "Yeah Mom you do remember? To make sure Lillie stays out of the bathroom. You said you needed Dora socks!"
I know Dora and her backpack can do A LOT of things. I am pretty sure though that her socks cannot keep our very curious Lillie out of our bathrooms...
