There are times as a parent when "the firsts" are so overwhelmingly joyous and exciting that it is hard to describe in words. Saturday was one of those times. Trev's grandparents (aka: Greatpa and Greatma) took our kids on their first pontoon and fishing adventure. It was a beautiful summer evening and it was probably the most fun we have had all summer. It really is about the simple things in life. They dug for their own worms and then watched as Greatpa cut the fish and fixed them to be grilled up. Anyway, since words cannot describe the fun, photos will have to suffice.

Just looking at Grandma and Grandpa out by the pond brings back so many fond memories. I'm so glad Parker and Lillie have the opportunity to spend so much time with Grandma and Grandpa and enjoy the same things we enjoyed with them when we were kids. Fishing never goes out of style!! However, that pontoon boat looks much more sturdy than the little metal rowboat we used to go out on!!!
Well, the rowboat pics didn't get posted but I am happy to report that the rowboat is still (barely) alive. Grandpa was brave enough to use it to go and get the pontoon...I was not brave enough to let Parker and Lillie ride in it:)
Maybe it will be nice enough for Caden to try his hand at fishing when you are down for a visit. The pond is filled and it made Parker feel like a pro...
love ya and will see you soon!!!!
So where are you moving to? For a new job?
