Assisted reading

Parker was sitting on my bed reading what I assumed was one of his summer reading books. He's a very proficient reader and so to hear him stumbling over words is pretty unusual. He calls out to me, "Mom, this is a tough one and doesn't make sense"love a circle and a paci???" I look over at him as he is squinting and reading the fineprint on the tag on my pillow which says "lave el ciclo apacible." Which means "WASH IN THE GENTLE CYCLE."

Ha! That's a good one. Is Parker soooo excited to start Kindergarten? He's definitely ready! (He's probably more proficient than some of my first graders!)

So funny! I can't believe he reads so well, I don't think Emma can count to 20 yet - unless you consider "eleventeen a number".
