Teamwork ALL the way!!

This blog should really be titled: Trains, Tea parties and Teamwork. I could never do what I do on a daily basis if it wasn't for my sweet loving, thoughtful and hard working hubs. This season of parenting is soo soo soo much fun and it's b/c I get to share in it along side Trevis everyday! I do not take that for granted EVER! Abundantly blessed~

Anniversary at the ballpark

KUDOS to my sweet hubby! Last night was our 10th anniversary and of all nights Trev had to host a REDS game for some clients. It wasn't the romantic dinner we had originally envisioned but it was A LOT of fun (and in the corporate suite to boot). During the 3rd inning we got a personal message up on the gameboard and there was an awesome fireworks show afterwards. It was definitely a celebratory event which was fitting and appropriate! We could have eaten at Taco Bell and went to Home Depot afterwards to buy bathroom fixtures (we've done this on a date before) and I would have been happy and content spending it with my best friend! HAPPY A. TREV!!!!!

Summer project # 3...or 4.. or something

Trevis is probably pretty convinced at this point that my main goal this summer is to have him do a laborious and sweaty project every weekend until Labor Day. It really isn't. (Although, I'm not opposed to the idea). Spring kicked off with him building us the ultimate sandbox. Then we landscaped the entire house (I planted the pretty flowers and shrubs and sprayed the hose ont he kids every 30 seconds. Trev scooped and scattered a dumptruck load of mulch in 95 degree heat and 100% humnidity). Then, last weekend he and Parker took on a picnic table. We looked at a lot of nice patio furniture but ultimately we decided that practical, sturdy, very very very kid-friendly and tornado proof was best for us. Which led to a good ole'fashion picnic table. It is very cool and trust me, it weighs a ton and isn't going anywhere in a bad storm. Here are some pics of the boys (and their muscles). Hmmm...I wonder what this weekend project will entail???

Intro to Hockey

Tonite Trevis and Parker embarked on a guys night out to a Cincy Cyclones Hockey game! Our hockey knowledge is very limited (that's quite the understatement really) but wanting to expose our kids to all sorts of sporting events (that, and the fact you can't go wrong with $7 tickets and $1 drinks and hotdogs) the boys headed out on their manly excursion! They had a great time (demonstrated by Parker who came home checking me into the wall).

Pre-game pics: Although Lils did not go on this outing, she was included in the pre-game "festivities" (which included shouting GO CYCLONES in your deepest roughest voice and being tossed around by Dad who had some mean...ok, funny... faces)
