For the most part we have a great bedtime routine for the kids and for the most part they cooperate at night and go straight to bed when it is time. However, there are occasions where stall tactics do come into play especially when we have had an exceptionally fun day or overtiredness is a factor. There is the classic "I need a glass of water" or the "Mommy, read me one more story", and even the " I really gotta poop" which is non negotiable b/c when nature calls...nature calls
Tonite, Trev was going to be home real late and when it was time for bed Parker was really sad about not seeing Dad. He pulled all the stalling moves he knew (or so I thought ) in the hopes that maybe he would be awake when Trevis got home. As I closed his bedroom door telling him he had to go to bed in my sternest voice he pipes up, "Mommy? I weally need to pray to Jesus one last time?".
He sure knows how to pull one over on mom...
