So, Lillie has this obession with elephants. Not really with how they look but how they sound. She loves to make the trumpeting sound they make with her mouth and she walks around all day with her little animal book turned to the elephant page blowing air through her lips. Parker and I get a kick out of it b/c we'll be eating or playing with blocks and out of nowhere she'll start making elephant sounds and get all excited at herself. Keep in mind this is a VERY random thing and she does it at any given time (she thinks about elephants a lot I guess).
Well we're at the grocery the other morning and the lady behind us on line starts talking to Lils. The lady was nice but kind of annoying with LOTS of gah gahing sounds and overly doting on Lillie. Lillie starts pointing to her glasses and Parker translates to the lady that Lillie likes her glasses. Then Lillie starts signing water (the lady was drinking a slurpee) and Parker translates to the lady that Lillie wants her drink. Then out of nowhere Lillie starts making elephant sounds and right as the lady starts laughing saying "Awww that's soo cute", Parker informs her, " She thinks you're an elephant!"
If I didn't know better I would have thought they were tag teaming against the crazy lady at Kroger. I apologized to the woman but inside I was thinking,
