As many of you might know, our kids are "early to bedders"... 7:30 is pushing it for them. As great as this is for Trevis and myself most days, for New Years Eve is it slightly umm... unconventional? This year we had our friends The Reathafords over for dinner and gift-giving and in order to accomodate our sleepy kids we decided to have a mock New Years at 8:00. I wrapped a beach ball in aluminum foil and hung it from our staircase and made a countdown clock starting at noon... It was a lot of fun and Trev and I were able to be in bed by 10~ (now you know where our kids get it from.. haha)

New Years at 8pm! Wow! We are such night owls that I can't imagine getting to bed that early :-) Glad you were still able to celebrate though. Since Matt and I both work full time and don't get home until 5-6pm, I hate putting Brynn down early. I want to feel like I had some time with her.
I can totally understand that! Whatever works for your family...I always say! That quality time in the evenings is soo important and it's cool that you guys are able to get it in together... we just get ours in a few hours earlier. ha!
