My two Dads...

As of 10:30 this morning I had 2 very sad kids missing their Daddy who is away on business for the entire week! At lunchtime we were just sitting and talking and Parker in a very thoughtful ponderance said to me, "Mom, I'm glad I have two Dad's. One in heaven and one who takes business trips. I mean God does a lot of work like making it snow and rain and stuff but he doesn't have to go anywhere and Dad is a really good wrestler and football player."

I love love love the simplicity of a child's way of thinking. When and how do we start thinking too much and over analyzing biblical concepts and principles that they get so complicated?

AH, Parker. You are a sweet boy. It's like when Jovey calls God her "biggest daddy!" and includes her in her prayers each night, as in "thank you, god, for mommy, daddy, laney, stormy, jovey and thank you for my biggest daddy named God!" Isn't that what we should be praying? Thanks for being who you are, just because!

Love you and am counting down hours until we can share these stories and create more blog entries as our kiddos play together!
